Legacy is a gift.

Some people only recognize legacy as money, property or things. In reality a legacy can be Stories, Books, a reputation, but the greatest is “A legacy of Love”.

Grandma was the matriarch. All stories led to her, all celebrations included her, all her children showed up for Mother’s Day, Christmas and her birthday.

The grandchildren all have fond memories of those family gatherings. Good times, good food and a bonding that lasted long after grandma was gone.

Oh the memories, ahh the stories, OMG, the smell of bacon, biscuits and eggs in the waking mornings, the sweet hugs and kisses, there was no comparison! But the memory of the kind, understanding sound of her voice still comforts me today 50 years after the voice was stilled for the final time.

Her son, my Dad, said, “Mom, this is a tape recorder and here are some blank tapes, please push the record button and tell your life story…”

Grandma sat in her chair rocking a motherly smile as she clutched the recorder. The recording was never made.

Her son sat in his recliner years later wishing his mother had pushed the record button. I proudly presented Dad with a recorder and a handful of tapes. “Dad, would you record your life story and some of your experiences for me?” I asked. The recording was never made.

It finally dawned on me that without a script to get someone started it was difficult to do an impromptu recording.

So I started to work on how to create a legacy that anyone could afford, FREE, NOW!

A legacy can be the story of someone’s life.

Legacy is something that a person leaves behind to be remembered by. Stories, Books, Gifts, money, property, coins, family trees, and heirlooms can all be part of your legacy. Your reputation of honesty is considered a legacy of honor.

However, the greatest of all legacies is the gift of Love!
